Latest news from the Schola

New Christmas Recording to be released

 

The Schola's latest recording, entitled Hodie!, a collection of music for boys voices and harp is to be released on 11 November.

The trebles of the Schola alongside harpist Zita Silva perform a beautiful selection of Christmas music, including Britten's Ceremony of Carols, John Rutter's Dancing Day and works by Richard Allain, Owain Park and Errollyn Wallen. The choir is joined by renowned horn player Richard Watkins for a new arrangement by Jonathan Rathbone of The Twelve Days of Christmas and the CD even features the boys singing in Welsh as they perform the famous lullaby Suo Gan.

Handel's Messiah

Tickets are now available for the Schola's annual performance of Handel's Messiah which this year will be given at St John's Smith Square at 7.30 pm on Friday 3 December. 

The Schola will be joined by St James' Baroque, with the solos sung by the boys of the choir.
