There are exciting plans for the Schola during 2018-19. The choir travels to Spain and Germany, performing at the Cathedrals of Burgos and Salamanca in October 2018 and at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig and at Dresden Cathedral in June 2019.
In the UK the choir continues its close relationship with Westminster Cathedral, whilst also singing at Ely Cathedral in October and at New College, Oxford in February. The annual performance of Handel’s Messiah is given at St John’s, Smith Square on Saturday 1 December. Tickets are available now. Other concert music will include Bach's Magnificat and the Vaughan Williams Mass in G minor in a concert given at St Peter's, Eaton Square in March. The Schola will also join with the other choirs of the Vaughan School for a performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion at Holy Trinity, Sloane Square, to be given in April.
Boys from the Schola will join the Royal Opera for their productions of Billy Budd and Tosca in April and June 2019. In the Summer Term the trebles of the choir will perform Britten's opera for boys, The Golden Vanity.
