On Thursday 14 November the Schola travelled to Paris on the Eurostar and that evening sang a concert at Cathédrale Saint-Louis-des-Invalides. The concert, entitled Les Voix des Anges, was given to a packed Cathedral and broadcast live on French radio station Radio Classique, the Classic FM of France. The station estimates that there were around 100,000 listeners and certainly messages of congratulations have come in from around the world as people listened on the internet.

The concert is linked to a new CD Recording that the choir is to release early next year on the Aparté Label. The programme was a mix of sacred and secular music with music from films including Life of Pi, the Oscar-winning score of which film featured the voices of the Schola in 2012.

The photos below capture something of the atmosphere of what was a fun couple of days and also picture the boys wearing their new Schola jumpers, very generously funded by an Old Vaughanian.

The concert can be heard again by clicking HERE.
