The album 'Golden', released by Malakai Bayoh on the Decca Label has now been number 1 in the Classical Album Charts for 3 weeks. The recording continues to outsell all other classical recordings in the UK and was for 1 week the Number 1 selling classical receding in the USA.

The album features the voices of Malakai's fellow Schola singers on three tracks - Pie Jesu, Amazing Grace and Benedictus. Sir Karl Jenkins was present to conduct his Benedictus which was performed in a new arrangement created for the album and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber popped in at one point to say hello! The other tracks on the album were conducted by Scott Price, with the London Mozart Players providing the orchestral accompaniment.

We are all delighted by the remarkable reaction to Malakai's singing and wish him every further success as his career continues.

These photos show behind the scenes at the recording sessions for the album back in May.
