In February half-term Malakai travelled to New York to sing in a concert performance of the music from the film Maestro, the new Netflix biopic about Leonard Bernstein. He spent time with the stars of the film, including Bradley Cooper, and also met Spike Lee! The concert was held at the Lincoln Centre with the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
