At the end of February, the Schola travelled to Trondheim, where the choir sang a concert in Nidaros Cathedral—the most northerly Gothic cathedral in the world. The performance was given in collaboration with the cathedral’s boys’ choir, Nidarosdomens Guttekor. The choir was delighted to sing for a large and receptive audience. The following morning, we were delighted to sing at Mass in St Olav's Catholic Cathedral, which was also a beautiful and memorable occasion.

We look forward to welcoming Nidarosdomens Guttekor to London this June, when we will perform a joint concert together during their tour to the UK.

The idea of the Schola Cantorum travelling to Norway really comes across as more than just a standard choir trip—it feels like a mix of cultural exchange and shared musical discovery. The way the blog highlights both performances and the sense of place makes it easy to imagine how different the experience must have been compared to singing at home. There’s also something interesting about how choirs adapt their sound to new venues and acoustics. It reminded me how rapid assignment help can sometimes feel similar in terms of adjusting to new contexts, and I came across this useful assignment services link while reading, though it’s just a side thought in relation to digital learning and collaboration.
